Practical Course on Wireless Sensor Networks (Lab)

General

Course Description

The lab is a preliminary practical course on wireless sensor networks (WSN). Students will get hands-on experience working with sensor motes on various operating systems for WSN such as TinyOS using the SensorLab facility at the Telematics Group. Different WSN applications and protocols are considered through simulation and implementation on real hardware. As well as integration of the WSN with various cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing is discussed. Furthermore, important wireless communication protocols and secure communication are examined.
